We recently we worked with musicMagpie on a series of sponsorship idents for “The 80s” on National Geographic Channel.
They’re a company that loves to celebrate the past. They value unwanted items from days gone by and have amassed a huge collection of products spanning a number of decades. Therefore sponsoring “The 80s” was a natural fit for Music Magpie and a great opportunity to increase brand awareness and engage with a new audience.
Given the huge public affection for this decade in particular, we felt that it would be appropriate to ask the glorious people of Manchester what they love, remember, don’t love and what they might still have lurking in the bottom of their wardrobe. We encountered a number of colourful characters during our time roaming the streets and as a result got some very interesting responses.
Fortunately we didn’t have to get the ‘Bleep’ machine out too often!
